Aaron
Aaron was a student in Steven's beginner level class. He was partnered with Bella on her first day, but moved up to the next level at the end of class that day. He was not fond of Bella at first and complained about being partnered with her. He pretends that he doesn't like her, but he really is her friend.
Appearance: "He was a middle-aged man with a round stomach. He reminded Bella of the king, except this man was shorter."
Carly Gills
Carly is the daughter of Richard Gills. She becomes Bella's best friend in Barronrow. Carly was assigned by the king to be Bella's friend and to watch over her to make sure Bella did not get in trouble anymore. Carly gets into trouble sometimes.

Appearance: "A tall, red-haired girl with freckles."
Doug
Doug was the man that was in the cell with Bella. It is unknown what happened to him after King Nolan spoke with him.

Appearance: "A very tall, muscualr, hairy man."
Glinda Hardy
Glinda is the front desk lady at the prison in Barronrow. She takes her job very seriously. She is the twin sister of Gladys Hardy, Bella's math teacher at Leonora's.

Appearance: "An older lady with gray hair was sitting behind the desk. She didn't look too pleasant.""Bella smiled at the lady, but she didn't smile back." "Bella noticed the lady's name tag while she was waiting. It said Glinda. Glinda seemed like such a cheerful name, not suited for such a stern looking woman."
Jackson
Jackson is a wand training instructor in Barronrow. He teaches the advanced students and the king's elite followers.

Appearance: "He looked callous and intimidating."
King Nolan
King Nolan is the king of Barronrow. His family has been in power for generations. He was sent to prison for falsely imprisoning and killing three people, but he was released early for good behavior. He went back to Barronrow to rule as king again only to find that many of his followers and his villagers had abandoned him. He adopted Bella to be the princess of Barronrow in order to gain more followers. He is rather gifted and experimental with potions.
Appearance: "The king was a tall, big man with a beard, black hair, and green eyes. His clothes were a little baggy on him now because of the weight he lost in prison, so he looked a little bit like a genie."
Penelope Oberkley
Penelope is the middle sister of Clarissa and Katharine, the wife of Ralph, the mother of Grace, and the aunt of Bella. She is very outgoing and a little bossy.

Appearance: "long, curly, black hair"
Richard Gills
Mr. Gills is Carly's father. He is the onwer of Mr. Gills' Magic Emporium, which sells magical toys, magical knick knacks, and simple potions.

Appearance: "He was a plump man with red hair and a short red beard. He wore a purple robe and purple wizard's hat." "...as he almost stumbled over some boxes. He was a clumsy man."
Benny
Benny is the butler for King Nolan and one of the king's most important servants. Benny is an elderly man, but that doesn't slow him down.
Appearance: "Benny had been getting older over the past few years and had white hair now. He wore a suit and big, thick, round glasses."
Clarissa Addison
Clarissa is the older sister of Katharine and Penelope, the wife of Jason, the mother of Oliver, and the aunt of Bella. She is like a mother figure to Bella. She is usually a quiet person.

Appearance: "long, blonde hair"
Enos Idrecarda
Enos is one of the few followers who stayed loyal to the king while the king was in prison. He is willing to do anything for the king even if it means hurting someone. He is the love interest of Bella.
Appearance: "She could see a teenage boy who looked a few years older than her standing in the middle of the foyer. He had short, light brown hair and was tall and slim. He was also well dressed in a suit with his hair slicked back."
Griffin
Griffin is one of King Nolan's elite followers. He does not like Bella being the princess.
Appearance: long, black hair and intimidating
Jason Addison
Jason is the husband of Clarissa, father of Oliver, and uncle of Bella.

Appearance: short, blonde hair
Mrs. Cooper
Mrs. Cooper is the head librarian at the library in Barronrow. She is a draley, but keeps her identity a secret. Her husband left her when he found out what she was.
​
Appearance (Human): "Mrs. Cooper was a middle-aged woman. She had her dark hair up in a bun and had on a black blazer with a matching skirt and heels."
​
Appearance (Draley): "She then started to morph into a creature with scales. She started to look like a large dragon. The creature started to slowly flap its small wings." Described as a, "nasty beast," by Cora. Dralies are often described as a monster.
Ralph Oberkley
Ralph is the husband of Penelope, father of Grace, and uncle of Bella. He often keeps to himself.
Appearance: medium length black hair
Steven
Steven is a wand training instructor in Barronrow. He teaches the beginner, intermediate, and higher-level classes.

Appearance: "Steven was a tall, skinny boy, proabably in his late twenties. He had short, black hair and a sculpted face. He stood with confidence in front of the king, which was not something most people could do. Most people feared the king, but not Steven."
