Castle

Outside

"They got out of the car together just looking at how massive and eerie the castle looked."

"The castle was made of dark grey bricks and many windows all along the front of the castle on both the first and second floors. On each corner of the castle were round turrets."

"Bella and Clarissa followed the king and Benny up the front stone stairs of the castle up to a set of double wooden doors."

Foyer

Empty Room

Bella's Room

"All that was in the huge foyer were a small stage with a throne straight back so people could see him when they walked in the door, a crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the tall ceiling, and a fireplace off to the right near a staircase. There was also a small room to the left that was empty except for a fireplace."

"Benny was waiting at the top of the staircase for them so he could show them where the dining room was. They followed Benny to the right into a dark room only lit by the outside streetlights coming through the windows. Straight ahead they could see a large, ornate fireplace that was cold and empty. It was the same empty room Bella saw on her way up to her room."

"They walked up a spiral staircase to a big, wooden door.

Bella looked scared even though her room looked big and beautiful. The room was only partially decorated with some nice pillows and flowers, but Bella still liked it."

Garden

"They walked out back to the castle garden where a small river flowed. Just before the river there was a gazebo with a bench facing the water and beautiful flowers surrounding it."

In Bella's dream: "He (Brandon) walked toward a big tree off to the side. He could see a girl sitting on a swing and looking down."

Dining Room

"They continued right again up a wide set of stairs up to another room. Around the perimeter of the ceiling was ornate gold carved trim, but it had lost its shine because it was covered in dust. There was an elongated table that looked able to seat about thirty people."

"To the left of the table was another large, ornate fireplace, but this one had a large and warm roaring fire inside. The fire was the only light that lit the dining room, but it was enough light to see thier dinner."

King's Office

"Bella followed Benny up to the dining room. Benny kept walking to the back of the dining room to a little hallway. They turned to the right and went down the hallway a little bit. Straight ahead was a door that she assumed led to the kitchen for quicker access for the chefs to get the food to the dining room. To the left was a set of stairs. There were only candles in small alcoves in the wall up the staircase, so the stairs just looked like they went into darkness. Benny had a candle with him that lit only a small portion of the staircase. When they got to the top, there was a dark wooden door."

"She walked in the door to a large room that was much brighter than the staircase she had just come from. The room had a gold and red theme. It had some chairs, a desk full of papers in the middle, and many medieval looking decorations."

King's Library

"The king's library was full of books on shelves that reached the ceiling. An elongated light-wooden table ran down the center of the room. Bella could only imagine the type of books he had there. She knew many of the books would not be books that would be found in a public library. The king's books were probably full of ideas for evil plans and topics related to that."

Mr. Gills' Shop

Outside

"Carly then started heading into a shop that looked like a rectangular purple tent on the outside and sold magic knick knacks. It was called Mr. Gills' Magic Emporium."

"They went into the small store and Bella was surprised at how much stuff was actually in there. There were shelves up high, low, and in the middle of the shop that were full of what seemed like random items. Bella didn't know what half of the things were, but it seemed like many had some sort of magical use even though they looked useless. Stands were set up in the middle of the store making the small store crowded and hard to walk through."

Library

"When they arrived at the library, Bella looked up at a huge building. She had never seen anything like it before. The library was built out of sandy colored brick and had ornate designs along the roof and around the front door. The library's cement stairs led up to the front doors, which were black with gold doorknobs and gold flower ornaments hanging on them. There were also old-fashioned golden lanterns hanging on either side of the door frame."

"When she walked in, she was hit with the smell of old books. There were two floors in the library. The first floor was wide open with bookshelves all around the edges and some chairs and tables in the middle. The second floor was filled with bookshelves in the center and had private rooms for people along the sides." "On the first fllor there was a front desk off to the left side."

Prison

Outside

"When she finally arrived at the prison, she was surprised at how many guards she saw. The  guards dressed like medieval knights. The prison looked like the castle she lived in, but slightly smaller and was dark gray and dull. Few windows were visible and the ones that were had been blocked by bars. She was surprised that it was a lot smaller than she pictured. It was also surrounded by a tall steel wall with barbed wire all over it. She hid behind a tree out front of the prison and watched as a few other visitors came."

"She walked in through the front doors of the prison into a cold, dark foyer where only a front desk sat in the middle. There was a hallway to the left, one to the right, and two sets of stairs, one on each side of the room, leading up to a second floor with two more hallways."

Cells

"The cells had thick steel doors with small, barred windows in each one. She slowly walked along the cells and looked in each one as she walked by. All of the prisoners wore old, dirty, gray jumpsuits with holes in them. They all sat on the dusty floor and they looked too tired to move."
